ROMANIA - GED reinforces team
Generalist investor group GED has strengthened its Romanian team with the promotion of Anca Ionescu to country manager and the appointment of Dan Farcasanu as investment manager.
Ionescu joined GED in 1998 as senior investment officer for the GED Eastern Fund I. In 2002 she was promoted to the position of investment manager for the GED Iberian Fund (EUR 86m), before going on to launch the Bulgarian office. Previously, Ionescu worked for the Investment Bank Austria/CA IB Romania in Bucharest, in both capital markets and investment banking.
Farcasanu joins following a period in Carlyle Group's CEE buyout operations. Prior to this, he worked with regional private equity firm Global Finance following a tenure at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has also previously worked for CA IB Romania.
