FRANCE - Finatem acquires Mecanindus-Vogelsang Group
Finatem has acquired 75% of Mecanindus-Vogelsang group. The remaining 25% interest has been acquired by the management and the former owners. IKB provided senior debt to finance the transaction via its Frankfurt and Paris offices.
Mecanindus was founded in 1920 by the Lévesque family and has now become one of the leading producers of metal fasteners in France. In 2003 it acquired Jörg Vogelsang Umformtechnik from Vogelsang Family after establishing a joint venture production company in the Czech Republic in 1999. Mecanindus-Vogelsang Group is the leading producer of spring pins in Europe.
