UK - Galileo Capital Management launches in London
Investment management and advisory firm Galileo Capital Management has launched, opening offices in London and Hong Kong.
Founded by Anders Jacobson and Paul Thompson, Galileo will launch, manage and raise capital for a range of alternative asset funds, including mutual, venture capital, private equity and hedge funds. These funds will target under-invested business sectors.
Thompson was most recently managing director of SGI-management in Hong Kong. Prior to this, he worked at Prudential after leading the development of the international investment funds business at Goldman Sachs.
Since 1999, Jacobsen has been providing investment advisory, capital raising and fund structuring services to clients based in China, continental Europe, the UK and the US. He previously worked for over 10 years as a principal of Bankers Trust Investment Management in derivatives fund management in London and New York.
