Law firms Hogan and Lovells merge
Law firms Hogan & Hartson and Lovells have merged to become Hogan Lovells.
Hogan Lovells will be led by former Hogan & Hartson Chairman, Warren Gorrell, and former Lovells managing partner, David Harris, as Co-CEOs of the new firm.
The combined entity employs 2,500 lawyers in more than 40 offices across the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America; including associated offices in Croatia, Hungary and Saudi Arabia.
Both firms decided to merge in response to the increasing need by large, multinational clients for high-quality legal advice on complex, cross-border transactions, disputes, and commercial matters.
The merger was approved by partners of both firms in December 2009 and completed on 1 May 2010.
