GERMANY - Macquarie-led consortium snatches real-estate web portal
Australian investment group Macquarie and media business Publishing & Broadcasting have acquired 66.22% of property internet portal Immobilien Scout GmbH, in a deal valuing the business at EUR 540m.
Aareal Bank had acquired an additional stake of approx. 24% in the capital of Immobilien Scout GmbH from private equity investors in April 2007, raising its total stake to approximately 54% at that time. The bank subsequently raised its shareholding to 66.22% through additional purchases.
