EUROPE - EIIB creates private equity practice
The European Islamic Investment Bank has established a private equity and corporate advisory department based in London.
The business will be headed by Robin Henshall who will be supported by Marcus Scott. New hires will be made in the coming months. The practice will identify Sharia'a compliant cross-border opportunities for EIIB's clients with a focus on Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. The business will target midle market companies with an enterprise value of $50m to $500m. PIPE deals as well as traditional private equity deals will be part of the investment remit.
