
UK - Noble hires RBS managing director
Noble Fund Managers has appointed Bruce McLaren, formally managing director of the Royal Bank of Scotland Equity Finance team, to the position of chief investment officer.
McLaren has 17 years of experience in unquoted M&A, covering debt underwriting and equity investment across all stages of the European buyout market. Prior to joining Noble he spent 14 years with the Royal Bank of Scotland, beginning as a founding member of the leveraged debt team in 1993 and going on to found both RBS Mezzanine Ltd and RBS Debt Ventures, which merged with RBS Equity Finance in 2004, when he became managing director of RBS Equity Finance and a member of RBS Corporate Markets Credit Committee.
