FINLAND - Ratos completes SEK 473m refinancing of GS-Hydro
Ratos has completed a SEK 473m recapitalisation of portfolio company GS-Hydro, a supplier of non-welded piping systems.
The refinancing was made possible by the company’s financial performance in recent years, with sales rising from SEK 534m in 2001 to SEK 1,311 in 2007 and an increase in EBITDA from SEK 52m to SEK 184m in the same period. Ratos acquired GS-Hydro in 2001 in conjunction with the buyout of the Swedish investment company Atle AB. GS-Hydro's piping systems are mainly used in the marine and offshore industries as well as in the pulp and paper, mining and metals, automotive and aerospace, and defence industries. The company is headquartered in Hämeenlinna.
