UK - HSBC Private Equity backs the buyout of Transmission & Distribution Group
HSBC Private Equity has supported the buyout of Transmission & Distribution Group (TDG). TDG specialises in providing condition monitoring systems for electrical utilities and heavy industry. TDG is the parent company of Diagnostic Monitoring Systems (DMS), a Glasgow-based global independent market leader in partial discharge monitoring focusing on gas insulated switchgear and transformers. DMS was founded as a spin-out from the University of Strathclyde in 1994. TDG is a global business, with offices in the UK, Sweden, the UAE, Australia and China, with 70 per cent of DMS's installed base now in key emerging markets in Asia and the Middle East.
