I2BF to raise Global Cleantech growth capital fund
International cleantech asset manager I2BF has launched Venture Fund II, a $100m global renewable energy and cleantech-focused growth capital fund.
The vehicle will invest in a diversified portfolio of early-stage companies developing and commercialising technologies in the renewable energy industry. This includes cleantech and renewable power companies in the solar, wind, biofuels, energy efficiency and energy storage sectors. Geographically, the fund will primarily target the developed markets of Europe and the US, but will also focus on markets such as China, the CIS and Latin America.
