UK - BLP hires new PE head
International law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has hired Raymond McKeeve to head up its private equity practice.
The move is significant in that it comes at a difficult time for the legal sector generally, with many firms announcing cut-backs. Earlier this year BLP launched a new Moscow-based team as a result of a merger with Russia's largest full-service law firm Pepeliaev, Goltsblat & Partners. The deal marked the first time that a major overseas law firm has come together with a leading Russian legal team.
