UK - Balderton Capital appoints new partner
Venture firm Balderton Capital (formerly Benchmark Capital Europe) has announced the appointment of Tim Bunting as partner.
Bunting, 43, joins the firm after a 17 year tenure at Goldman Sachs, where he performed a variety of senior roles, being appointed vice-chairman in 2005. He already had strong connections with Balderton, having served previously as non-executive chairman of person-to-person betting exchange Betfair, and director of portfolio company Alphyra, a pan-European electronics payment provider.
Bunting has also been appointed non-executive director of both Yell Group Plc and Sepura Ltd. Other businesses previously funded by the firm are Bebo and Setanta Sports.
