HarbourVest NAV registers slight drop in July
HarbourVest Global Private Equity has announced an estimated net asset value (NAV) of $935.4m at 31 July 2012.
The estimated NAV corresponds to $11.31 per share, which shows a decrease of 1.6% from the previous month. This is attributed to the value slide of privately-held investments as a portion of the portfolio due to revaluations, but also reflects the performance of public markets and currencies.
HarbourVest also announced that it will commit $131m to the secondary purchase of Conversus Capital's investment portfolio. The overall value of the deal signed in July is $1.4bn, making HarbourVest's commitment cover 9% of the purchase price. According to the buying party, Conversus ist the largest publicly traded portfolio of third party private equity funds globally.
The company also announced the repayment of $106.7m of its $500m credit facility.
