
NETHERLANDS - Private equity to bid for Philips' semiconductor division
Philips Electronics' semiconductor division has attracted interest from three consortia of private equity firms, which reportedly are in the final stages of preparing bids of around $ 10.2bn (EUR 8bn). One group is said to consist of Bain Capital, Francisco Partners and Apax Partners, a second consortium includes KKR and Silver Lake Partners and the third group is reported to include Blackstone, Permira and Texas Pacific Group.
