Strategic Value Partners hires Blackstone's Huffard
Strategic Value Partners (SVP) has added former Blackstone senior managing director Paul “Flip” Huffard to its advisory council.
Huffard left the Blackstone Group in 2014, after 19 years with the asset manager, where he was most recently a senior managing director, as well as a member of the company's restructuring and reorganisation team.
Before joining Blackstone, Huffard was a vice president at Hellmold Associates – a distressed investment and advisory firm – and an associate in Smith Barnery Harris Upham & Co's corporate finance division.
Huffard has also provided valuation and corporate finance advisory services to AmBase, the Federal Deposit Insurance Company and the Resolution Trust.
