EUROPE - Richard Wilson to succeed Jonathan Russell as EVCA chairman
The European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) has announced Richard Wilson, senior partner at Apax Partners, as the proposed successor of chairman Jonathan Russell.
Separately, at EVCA's Ordinary General Assembly held in Brussels earlier this week, chairman Jonathan Russell proposed a new governance structure that includes a collaborative framework for EVCA and Europe's national associations to co-ordinate their public affairs activities effectively and to ensure the industry is able to engage with the EU and national governments, particularly with respect to newly-proposed regulation.
The new structure was approved and will be formally adopted and published following the Extraordinary General Assembly.
