EUROPE - Shearman & Sterling promotes 12 to counsel
International law firm Shearman & Sterling has promoted 11 lawyers to counsel and one to European counsel.
The promotions were spread across nine of the firm's 19 global offices, with six of the 12 occuring in Europe. Stephanie Birmanns in Brussels, Mathias Stöcker in Düsseldorf, Joachim Grittmann in Frankfurt, and Azad Ali and Colin Tan in London were among the appointments to counsel. Frédéric Giancarli was promoted to European counsel in Paris.
