NORWAY - Venture-backed MCP opens offices in the US
Maritime Communications Partner (MCP), the global maritime cellular operator, has announced the opening of offices in Miami.
This step is in line with MCP's strategy of building an international presence; providing cellular services on board cruise ships, ferries and other vessels around the world.
'Key client-facing activities requiring local presence, communication and fast turnaround on projects are located close to customers,' comments Trygve Sten Gustavsen, CEO, MCP
MCP's system enables travellers to use their mobile phones in open waters. Northzone Ventures, Ugland Invest and Telenor ASA invested NOK 38m in MCP in 2004.
