
FRANCE - Alliance and Avenir acquire Malpello
Alliance Entreprendre and Avenir Entreprises have completed a secondary MBO of the Malpello group, which consists of Médipréma, Ella-Legros and Gamain.
Tours-based Malpello was founded by Eric Ménanteau in 2005. The company employs 67 people and recorded a turnover of EUR 11m in 2007, 60% of which is generated abroad. Médipréma, founded in 1976, specilaises in neonatal medical products. The company is responsible for 95% of the Malpello group's turnover. Ella-Legros, founded in 1946, commercialises medical equipment mainly for radiology, while Gamain, which was started in 1920, provides lighting equipment which offers daylight simulation.
