
UK - PwC appoints new head of corporate finance
PricewaterhouseCoopers has named Neil Sutton as its new head of corporate finance. A partner since 1993, he will start in his new role from 1 July 2006. Sutton has most recently led the consumer sector focus in the UK. In the last four years, he has almost quadrupled the size of this business, completing £1.7bn of deals in 2005 compared with £480m in 2002. He will be leading a business that has overtaken investment banks as the top deal adviser by volume and value to the UK market (deals of $50m-$500m).
