BELGIUM - Gimv strengthens tech team
Gimv has appointed Marc Van Sande to the Advisory Board of Gimv Technology.
Other members of the Advisory Board are: Gilbert Declerck (IMEC); Martin De Prycker (Barco); David Macaulay (Siemens); Leonard Schrank (president of the American chamber of commerce, Swift); Michel Akkermans (Clear2Pay, FICS); Stijn Bijnens (LRM, Ubizen); Yossi Kofman (Modem-Art); Yves de Talhouët (HP France); and Jan Oosterveld (IESE Business School and Philips).
Gimv expanded its business activities towards clean technology in 2007, carrying out a EUR 30m investment in a cleantech fund managed by Emerald Technology Ventures. The investor has since set up its own cleantech business unit cosisting of a 5-person team. Gimv cleantech's portfolio currently Greenpeak and VirtenSys.
