UK - 3i turns its attentions to Foxtons
3i is reported to be interested in acquiring estate agency chain Foxtons. Privately-owned Foxtons has appointed Credit Suisse to run a dual-track process to decide the asset's future.
3i's £970m bid for rival estate agency chain Countrywide was rejected last month before being trumped by a £1.01bn offer from US-group Apollo. Foxtons is expected to fetch in excess of £400m.
