GLOBAL - KKR appoints Levin as head of IR; merger with KPE expected Thursday
KKR has appointed Jonathan Levin to the newly created position of head of investor relations, a move designed to prepare the private equity firm as it becomes a publicly listed company.
Levin joined KKR in 2004 from Bear Sterns. He has helped build the firm's capital markets business, worked in the private equity division and focused on strategic projects for KKR, including the combination of KPE and KKR.
In his new role, Levin will be involved in the oversight of the firm's balance sheet, including the $3bn in net assets that KKR is expected to receive as a result of the merger with its Amsterdam-listed fund. The deal is expected to complete on Thursday and will make KKR a Euronext-listed company. The merger is the firm's first step towards an NYSE listing.
