Global Private Equity Alliance names new VP
The Global Private Equity Alliance, formed of several mid-market private equity firms, has appointed Jodie Oakes as vice president.
Established in 2009, the Global Private Equity Alliance regroups the following GPs: Living Bridge (UK), Innova Capital (Central and Eastern Europe), capiton (DACH), FSN Capital (Scandinavia), India Value Fund (India), Victoria Capital (South America), Turkven (Turkey) and Citic Capital (China).
The initiative aims to allow members to co-invest on deals and share fundraising networks, as well as to provide international support and development opportunities for portfolio businesses. A co-investment programme also allows partners at each member firm to co-invest with the funds of other Alliance members, via the Alliance Partner Commitment Fund.
Oakes will notably work on deal collaboration and sourcing opportunities for co-investments, as well as fundraising and liaising with LPs. She will also manage the Alliance Partner Commitment Fund.
Oakes joins from advisory firm Grant Thornton, where she had been private equity business development manager since 2012.
