SPAIN - Doughty Hanson buys Avanza for EUR 600m
Doughty Hanson's Madrid branch has completed its first deal by acquiring transport group Avanza.
The latest foreign firm to set foot in Spanish land has purchased 100% of the company for around EUR 600m. It was selected by corporate finance boutique Arcano Asesores, along with Apax Partners for the final bidding round. Reportedly, other unsuccessful bidders include CVC, Vista Capital and Advent.
