UK/US - Carlyle appoints David Marchick as global head of regulatory affairs

Marchick, a graduate of the University of California, the University of Texas and the George Washington University Law School, joins the company from Covington and Burling LLP where he held the position of partner. He is taking up a newly created role providing government affairs, regulatory and strategic advice and assistance on a global level to Carlyle's fund managers and portfolio companies.

Marchick is the co-author of the book 'U.S National Security and Foreign Direct Investment' and has authored many articles for publications such as the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal and Far Eastern Economic Review. He has frequently been asked to testify before congress and has previously worked on Bill Clinton's 1992 presidential campaign.
