GERMANY - DBAG and Quadriga Capital sell Lewa
Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG), Quadriga Capital and company management have sold their interests in pump manufacturer Lewa GmbH for an undisclosed sum to Japan-based Nikkiso Co, Ltd.
Lewa was founded in Leonberg in 1952. The company develops, manufactures and globally markets metering and process diaphragm pumps and complete pump systems. Key customer markets are the chemical industry and, in particular, the oil and gas industries. In 2008, Lewa generated sales of nearly EUR 143m. Lewa employs a staff of approximately 730, of whom 440 are located at its headquarters in Leonberg.
The two financial investors acquired Lewa jointly with their managed co-investment funds in October 2005.
