UK - Graphite realises 7.6x returns from sale of Huntress to Nomura
Graphite Capital has sold recruitment specialist Huntress Group to Nomura in a secondary management buyout. Graphite achieved total returns of 7.6x the money invested, representing an IRR of 38.5%. The value of the deal was understood to be in the region of ТЃ40m.
Graphite backed the start up of Huntress in June 2000. The business has since grown substantially, generating compound annual revenue growth of over 40% in the past five years, with sales this year expected to exceed £75m. The company now operates 17 offices, with a strong base in the South-East of England.
Graphite realised a partial return on their investment through a refinancing in 2005.
