GERMANY/AUSTRIA - Carlyle appoints new managing director
The Carlyle Group has announced the appointment of Norbert Reis as managing director of its European buyout team, primarily focusing on transactions in Germany and Austria.
Reis joins the company following a period as vice chairman of the investment banking division of Credit Suisse. He brings with him a wealth of experience in European M&A and capital raising, having previously been the co-head of the company's European mergers and acquisitions department and German investment banking business. He has advised many major transactions, including Lindes disposal of Kion and the buyout, follow-on acquisition and sale of Sulo for Apax and Blackstone.
