EUROPE - Dubai Int'l Cap replaces PE CEO
Dubai International Capital has appointed David Smoot as its new private equity chief executive, to be based in Dubai.
Smoot joined from Morgan Stanley in New York, where he co-founded the private equity division. He brings with him 14 years' experience in investment banking and private equity.
Eric Kump has been named head of Private Equity, Europe for DIC, having joined its London office in July 2008. He replaces Alan Hyslop, who had been managing director of DIC PE. Kump joined from Merrill Lynch, where he spent a total of 16 years, 13 of which were with the Global Private Equity group.
