Allianz Capital Partners has beaten competition from Terra Firma to acquire vending machine business Selecta for £772.5m. The operator of 150,000 vending machines in 22 countries, Zug-based Selecta became part of London-listed food service company Compass Group in 2001. Compass put Selecta up for sale in November 2006.
Shares have been sold to institutional investors for €15.8 a share
Add-on is the first since LDC and Ares provided financing of £100m to the telecoms company in 2019
