UK - Montagu and GIP complete Biffa take-private
Shares in Biffa, the waste disposal group, ceased trading on the London Stock Exchange this morning following its acquisition by Montagu Private Equity and Global Infrastructure Partners.
Montagu has paid 350p per share, which represents a market capitalisation of £1.2bn. A debt package of £1.09bn was provided by a consortium of banks comprising Bank of Scotland Corporate, Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse, HSBC, the Royal Bank of Scotland and the investment banking arm of Barclays.
