UK – Bridges invests in Newcastle building

The site is a key priority generation area, meaning it fits Bridges’ social criteria for investment. The building has been purchased for £2.81m and is already fully-let.

Scotswood is near the 60 hectare ‘Scotswood Expo’ site, where Newcastle City Council is proposing a £450m regeneration scheme which should bring new housing and community facilities to the area.

Two weeks ago Bridges invested £1.35m in SealSkinz, a Norfolk-based maker of waterproof socks and gloves designed for bikers and hikers. Bridges invested alongside management to buy the company from its parent KL Technologies.
