SWITZERLAND - Rimer to pursue medtech

According to press reports, one of the four Rimer brothers, Richard, has left Index Ventures to launch his own business focused on med tech and medical devices.

Richard joined his two brothers David and Neil in 2001 having previously worked for MediService, a mail order pharmacy he co-founded. During his time at Index he was involved in backing Addex Pharmaceuticals, a novel durg discovery company, and DirectMedica, a medical consultancy.
