DENMARK - Nordic Capital's Nycomed achieves sales growth
Backed by Nordic Capital, Nycomed has announced that its net turnover grew by 16% in 2005 to a total of EUR 747.5m.
The Group’s adjusted EBITDA reached EUR 156.7m in 2005, an increase of 21.2% over 2004. The positive results were driven by a good performance in all geographical regions and sales growth from established and newly-launched products. The increase in earnings also benefited from improved efficiency in manufacturing.
In 2005, Nordic Capital acquired Nycomed from a group of investors. The transaction valued the company at approximately EUR 1.8bn.
