FRANCE - Consortium wins Saur exclusivity
A syndicate led by state-backed CDC and including industrial company Séché Environnement and AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has won exclusivity in an auction for water business Saur. According to reports in the French press, the price obtained by vendor PAI partners is EUR 2.3bn.
Saur generated a turnover of EUR 1.397bn in the year to 31 March 2006, with EBITDA of EUR 142.2m.
Eurazeo and Macquarie were among those said to be bidding for the deal.
