UK - Hermes Private Equity acquires residential care provider ILG

Hermes Private Equity has acquired Independent Living Group (ILG), a provider of residential care for adults with severe and profound learning disabilities in the South East of England from a diverse group of shareholders. Bank of Scotland provided debt facilities to support the deal.

ILG provides care to adults with learning disabilities such as severe autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs in small, modern homes. It has 43 freehold homes with 284 registered beds, all located within Kent, East and West Sussex and Hampshire. ILG has been built up through acquisitions as well as organic growth and is grouped under the ILIACE and Evesleigh names which are to be continued.
