UK - Bank of Scotland backs demerger of components division from Nylacast

Nylacast has agreed a demerger of its components division with backing from Bank of Scotland Integrated Finance in a deal worth over ТЃ30m. The components division of Nylacast supplies names such as Delphi, JCB, Caterpillar and GSK with highly engineered critical components. The business operates from its manufacturing bases in Leicester and South Africa and also has operations in the US.

Since its inception as an autonomous unit, the business has grown significantly and now employs over 300 people in Leicester. The new capital will be used to move a large part of the company's manufacturing operations to a new site in Thurmaston, Leicester. Following the deal, which was introduced by KPMG, Bank of Scotland Integrated Finance will become a minority shareholder in the company.
