
UK - Standard Life European Private Equity Trust appoints new non-executive directors
The board of Standard Life European Private Equity Trust Plc has appointed Clive Sherling and Donald Workman as independent non-executive directors of the company, with effect from 1 December 2006. Sherling spent 17 years at Arthur Andersen, the last five years as a partner. He joined Apax Partners in 1987 and was for the last ten years, until he retired at the end of 2004, the group chief operating officer. He is a former chairman of the British Venture Capital Association and is currently a non-executive director of Blacks Leisure Group Plc and vice-chairman of Wembley National Stadium Ltd.
