SWEDEN- Industrifonden sells shares in XCounter
Industrifonden has sold their shares in XCounter, a medical equipment company listed on AIM. Industrifondens stake, which amounted to 4,74%, was sold for SEK 42m.
HealthCap was one of the first investors in the company, and first invested in the business in 1998. SEB Företagsinvest led a second round of funding in 2000. In 2002, XCounter received € 21.2m in a third round led by Abingworth and including new investors Dansk Kapitalanlæg, Alafi Capital, Optiomi and Concordia Capital, and existing investors HealthCap, SEB Företagsinvest, Industrifonden and MVI.
