SPAIN - YSIOS appoints CFO

Castellas will lead the financial control and management of the firm and be in charge of creating the mechanisms required for reporting to investors. He will also set up control and follow up systems that will allow the fund managers to gain access to accurate and live economic and financial information affecting portfolio companies.

Castellas joins from BCN Ventures where he has held the position CFO since 2004. He previously worked as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and as organisational and financial manager in French food group Danone. The move is part of Ysios' efforts to gain full legal registration for its inaugural vehicle, a EUR 60m biotech fund; the largest of its type in Spain.
