ITALY - Cerberus sells the holding of Fila
US-based hedge fund Cerberus Capital Management has sold its portfolio company Sports Brands International, a holding company of sportswear brand Fila.
The company, based in Biella, Italy, owns and operates businesses around the world under the Fila name, with the exception of Fila Korea, which is a separate company operating the brand under licence. The Korean company is the buyer and it is understood that it paid around EUR 300m for the total ownership of the group, which is said to have traded in red for the past two years.
