
UK - Duke Street appoints operating partner
Duke Street Capital has announced the appointment of Sir Neville Simms as operating partner.
Sir Neville is currently chairman of International Power, a leading independent power generation company and has substantial experience in both business transformation and the support services sector. As CEO of Tarmac Plc from 1992 to 1999 he oversaw the rehabilitation and reshaping of the group to focus on its traditional quarrying, materials and construction strengths. Subsequently, as chairman of the demerged construction business, Carillion Plc, from 1999 to 2005 he initiated and oversaw the transformation of the company from a building and civil engineering contractor to a highly profitable group providing integrated solutions for the construction industry.
