FRANCE – Perfectis backs security group BIMBO
Perfectis Private Equity has backed the BIMBO of SEPTAM to acquire a majority stake in the newco Vesta Capital. The investment marks the private equity house’s third investment through its FCPR Perfectis II. The balance is held by incoming CEO Eric Thord and managing director Alain Bertrand, alongside main company executives. Former CEO Claude Marquet has kept a minority shareholding in the company.
SEPTAM is situated in Courbevoie and comprises four groups - namely Septam, Cera, SEP and Securdis. When the company was acquired in 1978 by Claude Marquet, it registered annual sales of EUR 200,000. Under Marquet and Bertrand’s management, the firm became France’s second distributor of security products, registering a EUR 16m turnover in 2005.
