SPAIN - Carlyle acquires petrochemical company MB Inspection
Carlyle-backed certification company Applus+ has acquired petrochemical company MB Inspection.
This is the first acquisition by Applus+ since Carlyle became its majority shareholder in November 2007.
UK-based oil-prospecting company MB Inspection will be integrated into Applus RTD, the prospecting division bought through the acquisition of Dutch petrochemical player RTD Group in 2006.
MB Inspection reported a turnover of EUR 35m for 2007.
