CEE – First Reserve and Crossroads complete NWR IPO
First Reserve Corporation and Crossroads Capital Investment have completed the listing of mining company New World Resources' (NWR) on the London, Prague and Warsaw Stock Exchanges.
NWR is wholly owned by RPG Industries, a company held by First Reserve, Crossroads, a Czech private investor and American and Coal International. The deal is thought to represent the largest IPO in Europe for 2008.
Based in the Czech Republic, NRW is a hard coal and mining company that, along with its subsidiary OKD, which was acquired in 2004, is the third largest natural resources company in the country. It operates in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary and Germany.
