
GLOBAL - Advent International appoints three new partners
Advent International has hired three operating partners to advise the firm on investment opportunities in the technology and telecoms sector: Richard Atkins, Sergio Giacoletto and John Hughes.
Atkins has a long track record of working in the IT services and business process outsourcing market. Between 1996 and 2005, he worked at IBM in a variety of senior executive roles, including leading IBM Global Services in Northern Europe.
Giacoletto was executive vice president and a member of the executive committee of Oracle Corporation from 2000 until 2008. He oversaw a network of 136 offices and 17,000 employees in over 50 countries, with responsiblity for managing Oracle's sales and consulting businesses throughout the Europe, Middle East and African regions.
Hughes currently holds non-executive chairman roles with Telecity Group, Intec Telecom Systems and Spectris, and has held executive roles with Thales Group, Lucent Technologies and Hewlett Packard in the past.
