UK - Advent International appoints interim advisory board for Lloyds TSB Registrars
Advent International has appointed an interim advisory board pending completion of its acquisition of Lloyds TSB Registrars. Advent won an auction for the share registration business in May of this year paying £550m to secure the deal from vendor Lloyds TSB Plc. Bob Thian becomes chairman of the interim board and Rod Aldridge and Oliver Niedermaier join as non-executives. All three new board members have agreed to co-invest with Advent International and will become non-executive directors of the newco upon completion, which is expected before the end of 2007 subject to regulatory approval. James Brocklebank and Peter Rutland from Advent also sit on the interim advisory board.
