UK - Hotbed backs buy-in of Sabel Cosmetics
Private investor network Hotbed has backed the management buy-in of UK-based hair care products manufacturer Sabel Cosmetics with an investment of £1.6m. Founder and vendor John Abel also participated in the deal.
Hotbed will provide £99,000 of equity and £1.5m in debt. Under the terms of the deal, Dr Ian Shepherd will lead the new management team.
Sabel Cosmetics produces specialist salon products, including peroxide lotions and styling waxes. The company has developed its own hair care brand, Salon 2000, a 16 product range that will be sold to independent hair salons.
The investor plans to grow the company by developing its sales and marketing divisions.
