
UK - Premier Foods looks likely contender for Campbell's Soup business
As the results of the auction for the UK and Irish businesses of Campbell's Soup are awaited, Premier Foods has revealed bouyant trading in its convenience food range.
According to the Financial Times, Premier Foods has stated that the Campbell's businesses would be a "natural fit" for its portfolio, but that it was not going to buy it "at any price". Campbell's is valued at between £400m and £450m and has received offers from private equity buyers.
